Sustainability
Sustainability, for us, is not a statement. It's a set of decisions made at every stage of the process.
Materials that make sense
The foundation of any garment is what it's made from. Wherever possible we use natural fibres, organic cotton, cotton poplin, natural rubber elastic, unbleached cotton drawstrings, because they perform better over time and don't leave synthetic residue in the environment when they eventually wear out.
Aside from our swim shorts, which are made from 70% SEAQUAL® recycled ocean plastic and 30% rPET, our clothing contains no nylon, no elastane, and no hidden synthetics. When we say a garment is cotton, every component is cotton. That includes the sewing threads.
Designed to last
The most sustainable garment is one that doesn't need replacing. We make essentials rather than trend pieces, cut from durable fabrics in considered fits that remain relevant beyond a single season. A pair of heavyweight organic cotton joggers made properly will outlast several cheaper alternatives. That's not a sustainability claim. It's just how quality works.
Plastic free packaging
Everything we use for packaging and postal delivery is paper or cardboard. No plastic bags, no plastic tape, no synthetic void fill. What arrives at your door can go straight into the recycling.
A considered process
There's no version of making clothing that has zero environmental impact. Manufacturing uses energy. Transport has a footprint. We work to minimise both by making everything in the UK and keeping our supply chain as short and transparent as possible.
What we can control, we do. What we can't, we're honest about.
