Description
Four British hardwoods, each selected for its individual character and worked by hand on a lathe. Laburnum, one of the rarer British timbers, with rich golden tones and strong natural contrast. Spalted beech, rarer still, pale and marked with the natural figuring that occurs as the tree breaks down in the forest. Walnut, deep warm brown with subtle movement in the grain. Yew, warm orange turning slowly to amber.
No two bracelets are identical. The colour and grain in every bead are entirely natural. No dye, no stain, nothing added. What you see is what the tree grew.
Every bead is hand turned on a lathe, sanded through multiple grits, sealed and finished with three coats of museum grade microcrystalline wax, applied and polished by hand. The finish is satin, warm to the touch, and resistant to everyday handling.
Strung on strong elastic with a sterling silver Rolf Skeldon tag. Presented in a gift box.

Details & Care
Hand turned wooden beads are not identical. Each one is worked individually on a lathe, shaped by hand, and inspected before finishing. You may notice small differences in size, shape, and grain pattern between beads. This is what handmade means.

Wooden beads are durable but benefit from a little care. Keep away from water and prolonged exposure to sunlight. Surface marks through everyday wear are normal and part of the natural ageing of the wood. Store in the gift box provided and clean gently with a dry lint free cloth.
